COVID-19 Update

Revised January 4, 2022

The health, safety, and well-being of our team and patients remain our top priority. We have worked hard to create and implement safety protocols and policies in our office so that we may continue to deliver exceptional dental care to our patients. Details of some of the policies are found below.

Further information can be found on the Ontario Dental Association's website.

Cleaning and Sterilization

We have always adhered to strict hygiene and sterilization practices to ensure a clean and safe environment. These will continue with increased frequency and include:

  • Sterilization of treatment rooms, common areas, and high-touch surfaces multiple times a day and after each patient visit using hospital-grade disinfectant.

  • The use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) by our staff, which depending on the procedure could include gloves, masks, face shields and gowns. Our PPE will always meet or exceed the guidelines set-forth by the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario.

  • The removal of high-touch items wherever possible, such as toys, brochures, and magazines in our waiting area.

  • Each treatment room has been enclosed and purification systems have been added to each room. This is an effective means of removing the bio-aerosols that are generated by some dental procedures.

Upon Arrival

Your appointment may look and feel a little different than you are used to.

  • All patients will be carefully pre-screened and required to complete a COVID-19 questionnaire prior to their appointment as well as upon arrival. Staff members are also screened daily.

  • We have introduced physical distancing measures that limit the number of patients in our office at any given time, as well as careful traffic flow management to provide a safe experience for all of our patients and staff members alike.

  • We are asking that only one parent or guardian accompany younger patients or those who require assistance. All others are asked to come unaccompanied.

  • We are asking that you wait in your vehicle or outside of the building until your appointment time. Our waiting area is limited to one person/party at a time.
